DUI cases are going un-prosecuted in one southern Kentucky county, according to a former investigative journalist.

Adam Sulfridge says there are nearly 300 active DUI cases in Whitley County, some which have been cold for years.

On Monday, he and the Whitley County Unite Coalition came together to shed some light on the issues, some of which he calls disappointing.

Sulfridge says sending out the list of unsettled DUI charges will help prosecutors get a grip on the backlog for the cases.

Sulfridge hopes the the reports will restore trust in a community that is no stranger to political corruption.
