A former Williamsburg Police officer who admitted to burglarizing a pharmacy is sentenced.

The Lexington Herald Leader reports Kenneth Bradley Nighbert will spend nine years and four months behind bars.

Court documents show Nighbert pulled off the electrical meters to disable the pharmacy's alarms before he and Larry Harville allegedly pulled the doors off the pharmacy and stole five hundred dollars in drugs.

He was also ordered to pay restitution to the insurance company for the damage.

Nighbert is the son of former State Transportation Secretary Bill Nighbert.
