Gap to close 2 distribution facilities in Ky.

HEBRON, Ky. (AP) - A spokesman for Gap Inc. says two distribution facilities in northern Kentucky are closing, potentially putting up to 350 workers out of jobs.

Paula Conhain told The Kentucky Enquirer that the company is adjusting distribution for its brands to get its product to customers quicker. She said the company has shifted to a "regional distribution model" over the last couple of years.

She said the facilities in Hebron will close on June 30, and the company would begin phasing out employees on April 15. Gap opened its first distribution facility in Hebron in 1975.

Conhain said any employees who remained with the company would have to relocate.
