Flooding is a major concern today across Eastern Kentucky as rivers continue to rise after the heavy rain and snow melt of the last few days. Now as the rain has transitioned to sleet and snow roads will become treacherous and ice covered. Flood Warnings and Winter Storm Warnings remain in effect for most of the day. State police say warrants are out for a man who robbed a gas station in Knott County.
It happened last night at the Double Kwik Marathon station in Hindman off Highway 80.
State police have already arrested 18-year-old Jesse Combs of Fisty, who was charged with facilitation to commit first degree robbery and receiving stolen property.
No one was hurt, but police are looking for the man who was armed with a gun.
"The perpetrator had the weapon at the time that he approached the clerk which was outside at the gas pumps. They then went inside and that's when he told the clerk he wanted money and cigarettes," said Tony Watts, a state police trooper.
A juvenile was released to his parents and no charges have been filed at this time.
