Governor Beshear has follow-up surgery to retina procedure

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Gov. Steve Beshear's office has said the minor eye surgery he underwent Thursday is not expected to interrupt his regular schedule.

The successful surgery removed some scar tissue that developed after last November's outpatient procedure to repair a detached retina. Beshear had his surgery in Lexington in November after he woke up one morning and had trouble seeing out of one eye.

He did not travel for a few days after his surgery in November to recuperate.
