Governor orders flags to fly at half staff in honor of Fort Campbell soldier

Frankfort, Ky. (WKYT) - Governor Steve Beshear has ordered flags on all state buildings to fly at half staff in honor of a Fort Campbell soldier.

Private First Class Patricia Horne, 20, died Friday in Bagram, Afghanistan.

Pfc. Horne was from Greenwood, Mississippi.

She was assigned to the 96th Aviation Support Battalion, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).

Flags at all state office buildings will be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on the day of Pfc. Horne's interment.

Those arrangements are still pending.

The military has not released Pfc. Horne's cause of death.
