Governor Beshear signs legislation to help student aid programs

The governor participated in a ceremonial bill signing Friday that will help student aid programs.

House Bill 362, which creates the Asset Resolution Corporation, will allow the state to generate new revenue to further support student aid programs at no extra cost.

Governor Beshear says that while cuts must be made sometimes, he will try to keep funding for student aid programs.

The legislation will become law July 12th.
