Group attacks Senator McConnell’s wife on Twitter

WASHINGTON, DC (WYMT)- Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell ripped a liberal group for criticizing the ethnicity of his wife on Twitter.

The tweet said McConnell's marriage to former Labor Secretary Elaine Chao 'may' explain why American jobs moved to China. McConnell describes 'Progress Kentucky's' tweet as a "racial attack" against his wife.

Progress Kentucky later removed the tweet and issued apologies for what they said.
