Prayers will go out for coal here in eastern Kentucky when miners and supporters gather for the "Hands of Coal" event this Saturday, August 11th.
The organizer of the event, Joe Harris, says participants will line up from the Knox-Bell County line to the Cumberland Gap Tunnel and Join Hands at 2:30pm and show support for the coal industry and local communities.
Harris says he is hoping for as many as 20 thousand participants.
