Hannah's Hope is a charity that has brought to joy to children on Christmas since 2003 in Laurel County.

Hannah's Hope raises money for underprivileged kids across Eastern Kentucky.

The charity is named after Hannah Conway who has Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP), which is a genetic condition that causes bone to form in muscles.

Hannah's Hope is that other children's lives are touched by her strength.

"I really care about all the kids can't get anything, and we're just trying to give them a chance," said 10-year-old Hannah Conway.

"It's important because there are so many children who are not afforded the same luxuries as some of our children," said Michelle Richmond, an event organizer.

Organizers say their goal is to bring families joy on Christmas morning.

Today's event raised more than 21,000 dollars.
