While the worst of the weather held off this afternoon, it looks like we will still see some strong storms later tonight, generally between 8 p.m. and midnight. These storms will likely feature strong winds and hail, with heavy rain and an isolated tornado (mainly possible in the Cumberland Valley/I-75 corridor) being the secondary threats. HARLAN, Ky. (WYMT) - Officials in Harlan County are looking for ways to cut spending.
Judge-Executive Joe Grieshop says the county needs to start watching its spending now or it will have issues in the future.
On Tuesday, county officials discussed rescinding an attempt to limit the spending of county agencies by $5,000 without approval from the fiscal court.
Critics say the stipulation was interfering with operational purchases like food for the jail, fuel and gravel.
