Harlan County man is accused of chasing a woman with a chainsaw

A Harlan County man faces nine different charges after police say he chased a woman with chainsaw and assaulted three deputies.

They say it started behind the Evarts High School building.

Witnesses say Rodney Thacker went after Lillian Thacker with a chainsaw and cut her with a knife.

Lillian Thacker's boyfriend was also injured.

After a two hour search, Rodney Thacker was found in an abandoned home.

He then allegedly assaulted three deputies before being arrested.

Thacker said he'd been drinking and smoking synthetic marijuana.
