A Harlan County man is arrested after police say he stole three cases of cigarettes from a Corbin gas station.

It happened Thursday night at the Murphy Oil on U.S. 25E.

Officers say 34 year old Gabriel Carmical of Wallins pulled up while employees were stocking inside and stole the cigarettes, valued at $4,000.

One of the employees was able to write down Carmical's license plate number and police used it to track him to his home in Wallins.

He's charged with theft by unlawful taking and is being held in the Laurel County Detention Center.
