A Harlan County man who pleaded guilty to manslaughter is sentenced to 10 years in jail.
Billy Joe Middleton admits he shot and killed his girlfriend, Polly Jones, at her home in Evarts in November 2009.
Neighbors asked police to check on Jones, after they did not see her for several days.
Police found her body in the home and say they gathered enough evidence to charge Middleton.
Middleton also received 613 days credit for time already served.
