Harlan County superintendent retiring

The Harlan County schools superintendent is retiring.

Mountain News has learned Tim Saylor will retire effective June 30th.

He still had one year left on his contract.

The announcement was made at Thursday night's board meeting.

Saylor has been the leader of the school system for 12 years.

The search now begins for his replacement.
