You might be seeing one eastern Kentucky woman's face at your local theater.
Harlan County native Ashe Parker recently started pursuing her acting career, and she has already grabbed the lead role in an independent film and is even making her mark in the mainstream film industry.
"I never pursued acting, but once I was in front of the camera I loved it," said Parker.
Ashe did not start pursuing an acting career until 2010, and even now she has still never taken an acting class, but there is something about this southern girl that has heads turning.
"That was one thing that Leigh Scott actually loved about me was my accent. A lot of the people in the studio in Connecticut loved hearing me talk," said Parker.
She has a couple of small roles in the film "Dorothy and the Witches of Oz" that is debuting in Phoenix on February 17th. The movie will also be playing in Louisville.
Parker is also working on an independent film called "Woman in the Mirror." She helped write the film and is also played the female lead role.
When it comes to her future, she is not counting out any possibilities, but she says there is one particular actor she would love to have the chance to work with.
"Timothy Olyphant, he has always been one of my favorite actors and he plays the lead on Justified. I thought they really need a girl from Harlan County on the show," said Parker.
Ashe says Harlan will always be her home, and she is proud to be a small town girl.
Soon, Ashe Parker will head back to Connecticut to film a scary movie.
She is also making an appearance on February 16th in "Sins and Secrets" airing on Discovery ID.
