Former University of Kentucky basketball player Josh Harrellson was in Hazard today meeting with students, teachers and fans.
Walkertown Elementary was just one of the stops on Harrellson's regional tour. Kids got to play basketball with him and get posters and balls autographed.
Harrellson says this is his way of giving back to UK fans throughout the region. He hopes his story can be an inspiration to younger generations. "Never give up on your dreams. I didn't play much my first two years I could have left and went somewhere else but I chose to stick it out and bet patient ... and it when it comes be ready for it."
Harrellson says he hopes to continue his basketball career.
He has entered his name in the NBA draft.
