Hatfield-McCoy program set for Ky. state park

BUCKHORN, Ky. (AP) -

The Hatfield and McCoy feud is becoming dinnertime entertainment at a state park in Kentucky.

Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park will present a musical documentary on the famous feud as part of a dinner program on Nov. 16.

The program tells the story through music by a descendent of one of the feud participants. John Tierney, who produced the program, has researched late 19th-century mountain feuds. Tierney will be at the show to help interpret the period.

The program and dinner is $20 per person. The program starts at 6 p.m. EST.

Reservations are suggested by calling the park at 1-800-325-0058.

Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park is along Kentucky 1833, 25 miles northwest of Hazard in eastern Kentucky.
