PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Celebrating their heritage, that is the theme of a festival wrapping up in Pike County.
It is the second year for the Hatfield and McCoy Heritage Days festival and organizers say the event is growing, with close to fifty vendors this year.
The event features artists of all kinds, mostly from throughout Eastern Kentucky. Festival goers can also learn about the famous feud and take part in other various activities.
Jacob Colley, with the Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce says, "Our goal over the next couple of years is as the festival grows and the community becomes more engaged with it, is make it like a homecoming for people of the region who have moved away to come back and celebrate their heritage."
