HAZARD, Ky (WYMT) - In Hazard on Tuesday, local high school students learned about job opportunities in their community.
Hazard Community and Technical College held a career fair. Nearly 400 students from Perry, Leslie and Breathitt Counties attended.
The event featured representatives from law enforcement, health care and the military.
HCTC Career Counselor Helen Brunty organized the fair and tells WYMT this is all about preparing kids for the future.
"A lot of times people do not know how to search for jobs or need help in preparing for that job skills. We wanted to offer that opportunity," said Brunty.
She adds that if any high school or college student has questions about entering the workforce, they can contact HCTC.
