Hazard Wildcat fans excited for UK Final Four appearance

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - There was no shortage of excitement among Cats fans who did not make the trip to Texas.

Fans across the mountains watched and waited to see whether their beloved Wildcats would face UConn in the NCAA Championship game.

At Applebee's in Hazard, fans watched as Kentucky tipped off against the Wisconsin Badgers.

"Cats is on a roll. They're going to win an NCAA Championship," said Willard Miller, of Hazard.

"I'm calling 71 to 69," said Courtney Noise. "71 to 69? I'm thinking about 62 to 51," said her mother Nancy Noble.

I'm excited because I want to see them go to the championship and win," said 10-year-old Kaige Witt.

Kentucky defeated Wisconsin 74-73. They take on Connecticut Monday night on WYMT.
