The Hazard Police Chief is retiring.
Ronnie Bryant told the city commission this week he feels like the time is right to step aside.
Bryant served as chief since 2001, when he replaced Rod Maggard.
He's been with the Hazard Police Department since 1974.
The search is now underway for his replacement.
