PRESTONSBURG, Ky (WYMT) - The Floyd County Health Department wants to extend a workplace smoking ban across the county.

The Breathe Easy Floyd County Coalition conducted a mass mailing this week to provide lessons on the dangers of secondhand smoke.

The coalition was instrumental in convincing the Prestonsburg City Council to ban smoking in all workplaces two years ago.

The group is lobbying the fiscal court to adopt a similar measure.
