High speed chase video is released

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WYMT) - Police involved in a high speed chase from Madison County to Whitley County and ended in a crash just a little more than two hours ago.

We were able to obtain surveillance video which was taken by Cumberland Falls Auto Sales.

In the video you can see they caught the end of the chase on camera.

The chase ended in front of Barton's Storage building. That is on the Cumberland Falls Highway just off exit 25.

The video shows many different angles; in the first shot you can see the Maroon van pass by, with at least fifteen police cruisers with lights and sirens following.

Second angle you can see a state police officer perform what they call a pit maneuver, that is where the officer hit the van with his cruiser causing it to spin out of control

In the video you can see that happen, causing the car to stop and within seconds police officers surround the van.

Like we mentioned before speeds exceeded 100 MPH in this chase and started all the way back in Madison co.

Stop spikes were used to puncture the suspects tire.

Luckily Sam and Amber, no one was hurt.

We’re told the suspect was taken into custody and at this time is being questioned by detectives at the state police post in London.

We'll have more on this chase tonight at 11:00.
