More heavy thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon across eastern Kentucky. While they are not expected to be as widespread as the past few days, they will be slow movers and could cause more flooding in areas that are already saturated. A new principal has been named at Perry County Central High School.
Neal Feltner has 19 years of teaching experience along with three years as principal at A.B. Combs Elementary.
The previous principal, Estill Neace, was removed by the state earlier this year.
Feltner says he plans to get the school back on track and is excited about the challenge.
"They've had a rough couple of years, but they're more than capable of getting this job done and I want to help lead the charge to get this school back to being where it should be which is in my opinion one of the best schools in the state," said Principal Feltner.
Feltner is technically the principal at A.B. Combs Elementary until the end of June while also beginning his new role at Perry County Central High School.
