Interstates and highways in our area are packed, as folks head out for the final travel weekend of the summer.

This Labor Day weekend many people say they've noticed a jump in gas prices.

Stations in London report prices recently shot up about twenty cents just this week.

But travelers said that doesn't seem to be stopping many people.

"A lot of people, a lot of cars, Lots of trucks like always. You hear the traffic all around us. It's a busy time," said Mike Griffith, who's traveling to Alabama.

AAA reports that they expect holiday travel by Americans to decrease slightly because of the higher fuel prices.

Gas is about one dollar more expensive this year than last year.
