PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WYMT) - Thousands of drag racing fans are expected in Eastern Kentucky this weekend.
The Hillbilly Arm Drop Drags will be held Friday and Saturday at the Combs Airport between Prestonsburg and Paintsville.
Organizers say more than two hundred cars and ten thousand people came last year.
They say it is a family-friendly event with some special guests.
“Every child that comes into our event gets a free Hot Wheels plus we pay their admission so we want to invite the families to come and support the event and let them see what the Arm Drop Nation has to offer,” Darrell Patton said.
“Bobby Brantley, he's going to be there from Lizard Lick Towing and Brett Wagner is going to be there from the TV show Pass Time. Come on down and check us out guys. Shake and Bake for Eastern Kentucky,” Kent Rose said.
All coal miners can also get in free with a miner's card.
