Historic cemetery tied to famous feud open to the public

A once forgotten Pike County cemetery linked to the Hatfields and McCoys feud has been cleared and open to the public.

It is where Frank Phillips and his wife Nancy McCoy Hatfield Phillips are buried.

Officials cleared a road up to the cemetery in hopes it will be added to the historical registers and it will also give Hatfield McCoy tourists another place to visit.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Friday.
