PINEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Thousands of people waited in line in Bell County for a Kentucky Christmas Blessing.

Bell Central opened its doors at 9 a.m. Saturday morning for a holiday giveaway.

The Kentucky Christmas Blessing was put on by Praise Ministries International.

Hundreds of people from other states and nearly 20 local churches worked as volunteers.

They gave clothes, shoes, toys and food to thousands of people.

Families started lining up as early 6 a.m. and one family got there at midnight.

“There's not many people left in the world like this that actually cares about kids enough to worry about giving them a good Christmas,” said Shirley Marcum.

Ministry officials say it was the largest crowd they have ever served.
