Home invader chased away and arrested

A couple chased away a man after they say he tried to force his way into their home in Laurel County.

The attempted home invasion happened Friday night on Gibbs Lane.

Police officials say 32-year-old Finley Earl Hall pointed a weapon at the victims when they answered his knock at their door.

The sheriff's department says the wife struggled with the suspect until her husband got a shotgun, pointed it at Hall, and chased him off.

Deputies arrested Hall about two hours later at his parents' home.

Hall was charged with first degree robbery.
