Homeless shelter is receiving help

Help is on the way for a homeless shelter in Whitley County.

The Times Tribune reports that a truck load of food and toiletries will be making their way from Chicago, Illinois to the Emergency Christian Ministries in Williamsburg.

The items will be distributed to folks at the shelter on Saturday.

One of the founders of the "Be a Hero to a Hero" foundation, Robert Phillips, says a trip by one of his friends sparked his interest in helping out.
