The rain will transition over to snow as we head into mid to late morning across the area. We will see the chances for light accumulation in the valley areas with 1-3" possible on the ridge tops above 2000 feet. Slick spots are possible on untreated roads. While significant snow is not expected, we have issued a Severe Weather Alert Day to keep you informed on possible negative impacts to travel through Tuesday afternoon.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Horse owners who had damage during the
tornadoes last week can seek help from the Kentucky Horse Council.
The council is coordinating the U.S. Equine Disaster Relief
The nonprofit group says it has often helped victims of flooding
or other disasters in other states but now the people who need help
are in its own backyard.
Council President Anna Zinkhon says the relief fund will help
with temporary feed and fencing while Kentucky horse owners
continue cleanup and recovery. Zinkhon says the council has also
been in touch with the Indiana Horse Council to determine need in
the neighboring state.
