FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Legislation that would establish a
committee to plan a memorial to soldiers killed in Iraq and
Afghanistan has cleared the House.
The measure passed 92-0 on Friday.
Democratic Reps. Thomas McKee of Cynthiana and Mike Denham of
Maysville sponsored the proposal, saying the time is right to begin
work on a memorial to the 110 Kentucky soldiers who have lost their
lives in the war on terror.
The legislation is House Bill 256.
