Hundreds of new coal jobs coming to region

HARLAN,Ky.(WYMT)- More than eight hundred coal jobs are coming to the region.

Officials with Professional Contracting out of Norton, Virginia tell us, they are getting ready to open five coal mines and two preparation plants.
Company leaders say they plan to open underground mines, surface mines, and prep plants in Harlan County and Wise and Dickenson Counties in nearby Virginia.
They are now taking applications to fill 850 jobs and expect to have nearly 4,000 jobs up for grabs in the future.
We will have much more on this story coming up tonight at 11.
