Hundreds raise money at "Taste of Hazard"

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - More than 200 hungry folks ate their share in Perry County Thursday night at "Taste of Hazard."

The event featured several local chefs and restaurants located in Perry County.

Everyone in attendance enjoyed food and entertainment.

Money from ticket sales goes to the Hazard Perry County community ministries.

Jenny Williams of WMMT’s cooking show "What's Cooking Now" was one of the featured chefs.

“This is such a fun time because all the great cooks in hazard, and there are a lot of good cooks in hazard, get together and we all feel so strongly about all the work that community ministries does, that it's really fun for us,” said Williams.

A silent auction was also set up during the event to raise money for the ministries.
