Hundreds receive free shoes in Paintsville

PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Hundreds lined up outside of the Paintsville Recreation Center on Saturday for 'Operation School Shoe'.

This is the second year for the event, put on by local churches, businesses, and private donations.

Organizers say they will give away 400 pairs of shoes to kids in their area that might otherwise not be able to have a good pair of shoes to start the school year.

Natasha Lafferty says, "The shoes are just the basics, we really want to share about Jesus, that's what it is all about."
