PERRY Co., Ky. (WYMT) - Every year we deck our halls with holiday cheer.

This includes trees, nativity scenes and Christmas lights.

For one couple living in Viper the holiday season is particularly special.

Kaleb Watts and Kaitie Caines have known each other nearly six years.

Watts said his girlfriend loves this time of the year, especially Christmas lights.

So, what better way to pop the big question than in big flashing lights on Sunday.

"I told her that my cousin and I put some lights up on the house," said Kaleb Watts. "She was thinking it was a prank and the whole time everyone else in the house knew what was going on."

"His cousin pranks me all the time," said Kaitie Caines. "So I thought he actually put something embarrassing on the roof with the lights that I bought. When they turned them on and it said marry me, I was in shock."

After saying yes Caines said Christmas lights will always hold a special place in her heart.
