Icy conditions leading to crashes across Eastern Kentucky

Cold temperatures and icy conditions are making for a difficult morning commute to work and school.

Dispatchers in Bell County say icy roads led to a collision between an 18-wheeler and a car on U.S. 25E between Pineville and Middlesboro.

There are no injures and the road is open.

Dispatchers in Leslie County tell Mountain News they are working a crash on Highway 699 that has sent two people to the hospital. No word on their conditions. We're told black ice is to blame.

We are also getting reports of slick roads from several counties.
