Ideas for having a 'green' Valentine's Day

When you think of Valentine's Day, the colors of red or pink usually come to mind. Now a local organization has ideas for making the day more "green."

Bluegrass Pride recommends sending e-cards instead of paper ones. You can also reduce your environment impact by celebrating with locally produced food or wine.

Bluegrass Pride is also teaming up with local restaurants Bellini's and Natasha's, who have committed to reduce their carbon footprint.

Having a candlelight dinner at home and keeping an eye on your energy usage is another way to have a "green" Valentine's Day.
