"Buckle your safety belts and if you're on the lake, don't be drinking and boating. We want everyone to have a good time, and we want everyone have a safe holiday and enjoy their visit to the state of Kentucky, but we want you to do it in a safe manner," said Tony Watts, a trooper with state police in Hazard.
Police hope their campaigns saved some lives this weekend, and they encourage people to still be safe with just a couple hours left of this holiday.
