Injured Somerset girl undergoes surgery

SOMERSET, Ky. (WKYT) -- We have an update tonight on a 12 year old girl badly injured in a crash.

Jaden Jasper's uncle tells us she had surgery at UK hospital Friday.

He says the neurological portion was completed with no long-term damage found.

Jaden and her father, Jimmy Jasper were injured last week when their SUV hit a plank fence in Somerset.

A benefit for Jaden was held Friday night at a Somerset skating rink.
