Fiery crash causes traffic issues in Rockcastle County

ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT/WYMT) - Crews responded to a fiery crash on I-75 in Rockcastle County Monday night.

We're told two tractor-trailers collided, causing a fire on the 73 mile marker, just south of the Madison County line. A driver said he looked away for a moment, and the crashed happened.

The north and southbound lanes were all shut down while crews worked to extinguish the fire.

All Northbound lanes were opened by around midnight and all but the one of the Southbound lanes were open by 2 a.m. Tuesday.

The driver of the second truck was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
