Investigation into possible bomb threat on school bus

Police are investigating a possible bomb threat on a school but in Laurel County Friday afternoon.

Police say it happened around 4pm and some students made the threat. The school bus stopped in the southbound weigh scale facility, about four miles from London to make contact with law enforcement.

Laurel County officers, Kentucky State Police officers, and Commercial Vehicle enforcement officers all responded to help out security.

The KSP Hazardous Devices unit was called to search student's backpacks and the school bus.

Another bus went to the scene to take kids home.

No students have been identified as being the ones involved.
