WISE COUNTY, Va. (WYMT/WJHL) - The Wise County Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause of injuries to a child in Wise.
The sheriff's office responded to a home on Pole Bridge Road at 4 p.m., Friday after emergency dispatch received a call about a child who was not breathing and choking. The child was transported to Norton Community Hospital and later transferred to the University of Tennessee's Children's Hospital.
An investigation has been opened as the child is believed to have sustained injuries that led to the hospitalization.
