HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - A Kentucky River Regional Jail inmate will spend five years behind bars for assaulting a deputy jailer.
27 year old Christopher Hale pleaded guilty earlier this year to third degree assault in exchange for the sentence.
Officials say in July of 2012, they were taking him to a cell when he started to fight with the deputies.
Jail officials say he hit one of them in the head and caused trauma that required stitches.
