The flood waters are beginning to slowly recede across most of Eastern Kentucky and the snow showers are coming to an end. Roads will remain slick tonight as temperatures drop below zero. HARROGATE, Tenn. (WYMT) - Dozens of Japanese teenagers are learning American history and Appalachian culture at Lincoln Memorial University.
The 16-year-olds from Tokyo are going to college classes and learning English as well as history and music.
They have visited several Kentucky and Tennessee tourist sites and are visiting local high schools to teach students about Japanese culture.
LMU is taking the 49 students and two teachers to Washington D.C. next week.
