PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WYMT) - Jenny Wiley Theatre held its first annual golf scramble at StoneCrest Golf Course on Thursday.
More than 30 golfers participated in the event to raise money for the theatre known for its outdoor summer performances. Officials say the theatre is entering an exciting time as they begin to offer year-round productions.
Board President Miriam Silman says, "The theatre is entering 50th year of continuing performances, we have done more than 200 shows and will be able to offer year-round shows with new space in Pikeville coming this April in addition to the amphitheater."
The theatre is gearing up for two productions this fall...'The Legend of Jenny Wiley' which will be at the Mountain Arts Center and 'Miracle on 34th Street' which will be in the Booth Auditorium at the University of Pikeville.
