HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - A Perry County man serving 10 years for manslaughter will not get out of jail early.

The Hazard Herald reports Judge Bill Engle denied a request by Eric Ison's attorney for shock probation.

Ison entered an Alford Plea earlier this year after allegations he was driving under the influence when he hit another vehicle in November 2011, killing Bobby Napier of Breathitt County.

Ison's plea meant he maintains his innocence but admits the evidence against him indicates guilt.
