In the hearing on Tuesday, Judge Danny P. Caudill said there was probable cause, indicating the couple committed a felony. At this point in the case the two defendants are charged with four counts each of criminal abuse, which is one count for each child they were raising.
"The judge found there was probable cause to wave to the grand jury so the evidence will now be submitted to the grand jury." says Floyd County Attorney, Keith Bartley.
At the hearing the couple requested to have separate attorneys from this point on. Additionally, although the bond amount didn't change for the Dickerson's it did have a few restrictions added to it.
"The judge placed several restrictions which would include they be monitored with GPS monitoring so that we know of there whereabouts at all times." says Bartley.
This was something he personally requested
"Quite frankly I asked for that just simply because if ultimately there were a murder charge that came from this obviously there's a greater likelihood of flight from the jurisdiction and we'd want to be able to find them." he adds.
However, this would only take place if the Dickerson's met the set bond.
