Judicial branch has first of three furlough days

Courtrooms across the state were closed Monday for the first of three furlough days this year.

The judicial branch says the furlough days are part of ongoing efforts to balance the budget after it was cut by more than 25-million dollars.

Non-elected court personnel will not get paid for Monday.

The two other furlough days are set for September 4th and October 15th.
